Opportunity

We are seeking a Principal World Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of our upcoming title, Marvel's Blade. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging game environments that bring our story to life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a creative toolbox to guide designers in creating content that enhances the game's environments and narrative.
  • Ensure a balanced distribution of content across various environments, supporting the game's themes and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Art and Narrative department to ensure narrative consistency and depth across the game.
  • Work closely with the System Design team to integrate simulation-driven systems into the game.
  • Provide informed feedback to the teams to ensure the game's world feels unique, immersive, and reactive.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in World Design, with a strong track record of creating engaging game environments.
  • Strong affinity for systemic, story-rich gameplay.
  • Interest and understanding of the Immersive Simulation philosophy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various profiles and disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of player psychology and behavior.
  • Relevant experience in creating and owning clear, expansive, and practical living documentation.
  • Experience using game-specific editing packages and editors.

Preferred Skills

  • Passionate gamer with a solid understanding of the video game industry and its trends.
  • Good analytical thinking, with the ability to quickly understand game design rules and mechanics.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
