The Esso refinery was the first industrial establishment to be set up on the Fos-sur-Mer site in 1965. Its size gives it certain advantages in terms of flexibility and reactivity to seize opportunities and assert its competitiveness.

Today, the ExxonMobil group offers a training program in instrumentation in the PACA region at Fos-sur-Mer.

This training program is done in partnership with the GRETA CFA Provence and potentially other schools.

What Role Will You Hold in Our Team?

As an instrumentation technician, you will be responsible for contributing to the design, installation, calibration, and maintenance of measurement and control instruments used in our industrial processes. You will also participate in data analysis, anomaly resolution, and technological watch to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our systems.

Your Responsibilities

You will exercise your activities independently within a team, under the responsibility of a qualified reference person from the maintenance teams, in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • 1. Safety, Hygiene, Environment
  • Knowledge and respect of the site's SHE practices.
  • Ensure that your work is fully understood and executed in accordance with SHE rules.
  • Participate in safety visits and common inspections prior to the work assigned to you.
  • 2. Main Requirements of the Function
  • Knowledge of the technicality specific to your profession, by training and possibly experience.
  • Diagnostics on equipment in the petrochemical field.
  • Evaluation of the scope of work to be done, of the different tasks to be carried out.
  • Determination of the execution approach.
  • Coordination with the intervening company in the case of subcontracting.
  • Identification of material and service needs and ensure their follow-up.
  • Execution of work (diagnosis, troubleshooting, testing), tools in hand.
  • Assume responsibility for the execution of the work assigned to you, in safety, within the allotted time and budget.
  • Identification, during the execution phase, of opportunities for improvement of reliability.
  • Proposal and follow-up of the update of the documentation related to the work carried out.
  • Be a driving force in the search for sources of cost reduction or delay of the intervention.

Who We Are Looking For

Diplomas Required: Having obtained a Bac Professionnel or a Bac Général.

Types of Training Sought for Internship:

  • BTS Electrotechnique and electronique
  • BTS CIRA
  • Licence Pro

Attention: Registration is mandatory at the GRETA CFA Provence or the GRETA CFA Marseille Méditerranée.
