Laminator Technician

The Machine Operator role is a key part of our production team, working on machines allocated by the shift supervisor. The operator will run the machines, following the planned production schedule, on a shift rotation. Full training will be provided by our experienced team.

• Operating all machinery in an efficient and safe manner
• Running and maintaining the production of extrusion and coating lamination, ensuring all safety and quality procedures are followed
• Maintenance and cleaning of the laminating machine
• Slitting material produced from the laminators and extrusion machines into tapes as per the customer's requirement
• Supporting and helping in the cross-training of other team members
• Covering holiday and sick leave
• Controlling and optimizing production processes
• Independent monitoring of ongoing production
• Preparation of all materials for laminating application and control
• Adherence to time and quality requirements
• Processing the material through the ERP Styeline system

• Safety-driven, conscientious, self-motivated, and confident
• Understanding of Quality Systems would be an advantage
• Basic numeric and literacy skills to ensure accurate recording of data using set paperwork
• Moving and managing material using electric pump trucks and forklifts
• Ability to handle heavy equipment
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production plans and Standard Operating Procedures
• Focus-driven to hit production targets
• Keeping the area clean and tidy
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask
• Must be able to work overtime
• Must be able to speak, write, and read English
