As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that will drive higher levels of performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and Analyze Data: Collect data and perform statistical analysis to identify areas for improvement. Map and document processes to understand current state and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and Implement Process Improvements: Independently identify process gaps and recommend and implement process improvements. Develop and manage a thorough, effective, and timely continuous improvement plan to drive value for our customers.
- Manage CI and Steady-State Engineering Projects: Manage and complete CI and steady-state engineering projects that lead to improved business results. Assess CI initiatives and provide input and recommendations on future activities.
- Develop and Demonstrate Competency in Engineering Methods: Develop and demonstrate competency in a wide range of engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards. Coach employees in the use and implementation of CI, Quality Assurance, and Lean principles.
- Facilitate Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events: Effective facilitation and execution of Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events through all stages. Coach process owners on how to use lean methods to achieve operational excellence.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain and five (5) years or more related work experience in the Warehousing, Transportation, or Manufacturing industry.
- Skills and Abilities: Effective interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization, flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio expert required. Data visualization and database programming intermediate preferred.
