Eiffage Route is a leading player in the improvement of the French road network, from communal roads to highway designs, covering conception, construction, and maintenance. As a specialist in urban development, Eiffage Route also participates in the realization of port, airport, industrial, and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site installation: Install, maintain, and position temporary signs on the building site.
  • Mark out the building site.
  • Building site set-up: Perform additional staking out for an external works project, including platform right of way and altimetry, banks, and trenches.
  • Help set up the building site.
  • Masonry: Make concrete and mortar mixes, choose aggregates and doses, and lay roadsides, concrete blocks, and prefabricated elements.
  • Building site maintenance: Clean the site equipment.
  • Building site withdrawal: Stow away building site equipment and clean up the work area.
  • Building site security: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), observe security instructions, and comply with environmental guidelines.
Specific Activities:
  • Opening a trench: Prepare the trench by clearing brush and cutting surfaces, consolidate the trench manually, and close the trench.
  • Laying of asphalt: Manually follow the paver implementation, lay the asphalt, and compact the asphalt with a compactor of any size.
  • CACES: Bring the road works up to standard (buffer, bc...).
  • Implementation of coatings and / or ECF (cold cast asphalt): Spread aggregates or gravels to realize surface coatings and perform manual maintenance work on surface coatings.
  • Compact coatings.
External Works Labourer:
  • Opening of trenches: Prepare trenches by clearing and cutting surfaces, consolidate trenches manually, and close trenches.
  • Application of sand-gravel mixes: Follow the adjuster on foot and compact the sand-gravel mixes with a compactor.
  • Laying of pipelines: Adjust the excavation floor, put the networks in place (pvc, cast iron, sandstone), and install dry networks (telecom, electrical).
Requirements:
  • No skills training required.
  • Hands-on learning.
  • Optional authorizations as necessary: AIPR (Autorisation d'Intervention à Proximité des Réseaux - authorization to intervene near networks) / Cutting tools.
Environment:
  • Reporting line: Team leader or Site supervisor.
  • Internal relations: Building Site Team, Machine/Vehicle Operators.
  • External relations: N/A.

Formation: Student in a CAP level 2 training program in the field of Road Construction, looking for an internship.

Compétences: You have a taste for the terrain, a great sense of rigor, and a team spirit. You are interested in discovering the road construction trades and have good interpersonal skills.
