Data Architecture Lead

AXA Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Architecture Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expertise and technical leadership for the entire AXA Group organization in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for determining the DATA & Cloud High Level Design, and blueprints, data ingestion patterns, technical data governance and management (cataloging, lineage, data consumption pattern) supporting the growth of AXA Group.

As a Data Architecture Lead, you will manage the team of Data Architects providing a range of activities in conjunction with Product Owner and Business Leader. Operation Excellence of the Data Platform is also a very important topic, and you will manage the principles and implementation of tools for global observability, the monitoring, maintaining the data product SLAs at scale for and internal consumption inside AXA Group or an external consumption for AXA Group Users and customers.

You'll be one key contact for the AXA Data Mesh group Initiative (TDO), the AI/ML community and in connection with the GenAI COE activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for visualizing and designing DCP enterprise data management framework, describing the processes used to plan, specify, enable, create, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge data.
  • Providing a standard common business vocabulary, expresses strategic requirements, outlines high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements, and aligns with DCP strategy and related business architecture
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses
  • Defining the data architecture framework of DCP, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data such as product codes and client categories, and master data such as clients, vendors, materials, and employees
  • Lead the AI/ML and GenAI Initiatives and program, serving the AXA DCP Roadmap and growth, and a key contact of the Group Data Mesh initiative and a key member of the GenAI COE
  • Defining reference architecture, which is a pattern others can follow to create and improve data systems, including defining data flows, which parts of the organization generate data and data product of the DCP, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition in the context of AWS Cloud technologies
  • Designing the cloud DATA Platform environment for DCP based on its requirements, utilizing emerging and best technologies to design the Architecture of the Platform and its components and the solutions/application/core components, creating cloud-based applications that are efficient and secure
  • Collaborating with other technology team members to complete projects, bringing support for the engineering and development, with frugality and cost optimization in mind, ensuring cloud solutions and operations are reliable, take care as priority number one the security of cloud computing solutions
  • Align organizational Architecture strategy and infrastructure decisions aligned with CTO's Strategy and with overall business and technology strategy
  • Identify architectural design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
  • Test security architecture in relationship with feature and developer teams to ensure they behave as expected
  • Use current programming language and technologies to writes code, complete programming and performs testing and debugging of applications

Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to share insights with stakeholders of all levels, including entry-level programmers, business managers, project team members, and senior executives.
  • Being a thought leader who creates and presents content using AWS as their building blocks you're able to be the Leading Data Architect and subject matter expert who can explain complex topics about Data Architecture and Data Management in a Cloud etc.
  • Proven expertise in the AWS Cloud Architecture, you have several key AWS Certifications for Solution Architecture Associate level as a must have, professional level would be appreciated, and other key AWS certifications or specialities in Data Analytics, AI/ML, experienced in NoSQL and Cloud Data Management systems like DataBricks, Talend etc...
  • High-level collaboration skills to assist with several different areas of cloud architecture management
  • Project management skills to orchestrate DATA Systems and new system integrations seamlessly
  • Proven technical expertise (with critical thinking and analytical skills), you're proficient in popular programming languages like Python or Java, good understanding of how databases, networks, and other critical IT functions work
  • Ability to integrate and automate an organisation's IT system processes, and a proven experience working with legacy information systems
  • Good knowledge of standards related to regulatory compliance risk management (ISO 27001)
  • Master from engineering school or university equivalence
  • 12+ years or more experience in building/ designing user-facing software products and services
  • 12+ years in a technical senior management role, developing and nurturing teams of motivated technologists
