Purchasing Manager - Saint-Gobain Glass Logistics
The Purchasing Manager is tasked with supervising and enhancing all logistics and operational expenditures required for the production of SGGL services, adhering to established quality standards and sustainability objectives.
- Develop the annual strategic Purchasing roadmap in partnership with SGGL leadership and oversee its implementation
- Effectively negotiate pricing with transport providers and initiate tender processes
- Ensure that transport partners comply with Group purchasing policies
- Maintain a comprehensive contract repository for all vendors
- Continuously assess the transport market and recommend new competitive suppliers
- Oversee performance contracts for General Services and engage in regular rate negotiations
Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree, with 5 to 10 years of experience in procurement or logistics roles.
Language proficiency: French and English (professional level) is essential.

The Purchasing Manager reports directly to the SGGL General Director and is a vital member of the Executive Committee.
This role involves regular collaboration with various stakeholders:
- Suppliers
- Supply Chain Managers at the factory level
- SGGL Financial Manager
- SGGL Quality Manager
- Central Glass Purchasing teams
SGGL functions as a transport commission entity responsible for managing glass logistics for SG Glass factories across Europe, operating through three key departments:
- Control Tower: overseeing freight operations and transport monitoring
- Quality: managing disputes and ensuring transport safety
- Purchasing: overseeing a substantial Purchasing portfolio
SGGL is integrated within the Glass Group Supply Chain Directorate.
