Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of vendor invoices and payments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process independently, managing all stages from invoice receipt to payment.
- Implement pre-payment controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure accuracy.
- Oversee supplier approvals through our TAP system, maintaining compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct thorough ledger analysis prior to each quarter end, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Provide comprehensive support and training to business partners on P2P processes, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Reconcile vendor accounts monthly, ensuring accurate records and timely payments.
- Review bank reconciliations to verify transactions and identify potential issues.
Major Functions & Related Activities
- Actively participate in continuous process improvement initiatives within the P2P cycle.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the Shared Services team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations.
- Proactively identify and report any potential problems or areas for improvement.
- Provide regular updates on key tasks and performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects, working closely with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Engage with the Global Finance Center team to share best practices and support global initiatives.
Experience & Capabilities
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international finance, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- A highly self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience working within finance and shared services environments.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP and Power BI reporting tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English is essential.
