Role Overview

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Property Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations across our properties. This position involves effective communication with tenants and service providers, addressing leasing inquiries, and conducting property tours. You thrive on engaging with residents, collaborating with colleagues, and interacting with potential tenants. Building strong relationships with vendors is also a key aspect of your role.

Please note this is a temporary position.

Compensation : $27.00 -$31.00/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the overall management of the property, including staff, vendors, tenants, maintenance, and financial reporting
  • Marketing and filling vacancies; conducting tours, finalizing agreements, and performing credit checks
  • Planning and supervising renovations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Leading the onsite team and managing vendor relationships
  • Addressing resident complaints and resolving conflicts
  • Ensuring properties operate within financial guidelines
  • Developing and implementing strategies for property success
  • Reviewing financial documents, including accounts receivable and rent collection
  • Maintaining high aesthetic standards for the property, both inside and out
  • Assisting with the operation and inspection of building systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Keeping organized records of property and tenant-related matters
  • Fostering relationships with residents and prospective tenants
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Establishing and enforcing property regulations

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in property management or a related field
  • Post-secondary education in property management or business administration is advantageous
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Familiarity with Alberta's Residential Tenancies Act is beneficial
  • Experience with Yardi Property Management software is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS) is an asset
