Specialty Brand Financial Analyst

AbbVie is seeking a Specialty Brand Financial Analyst to become a vital part of the finance team at our European Headquarters, reporting directly to the Brand Finance Lead for Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the financial performance of Specialty and Oncology sectors across multiple Local Business Units (LBUs) and Regions, with significant sales anticipated in the upcoming fiscal year, particularly in the context of new product launches.

Your contributions will include delivering insightful financial analyses related to brand performance, providing financial support, and ensuring that strategic objectives align with both company and regional goals. You will collaborate closely with Brand Finance Managers, the Consolidation Team, the Area Controller, the Finance Director, and commercial partners.

Brand Finance Functions (65% of time)

• Assist the Brand Finance Manager during Planning Cycles (LBE, Plan, LRP)
• Support the preparation, testing, and consolidation of financial models and related documentation (Plan, LRP, LBE)
• Play an active role in the creation of the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) report
• Take ownership of monthly reporting for actual financials
• Engage in various ad hoc projects and tasks as required

Consolidation Functions (35% of time)

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Assist during month-end closing and S&OP/LBE processes alongside the senior finance analyst
• Support the consolidation and analysis team during critical planning cycles, including creating templates, providing guidance, and preparing consolidation files
• Offer assistance to LBUs, particularly with system-related inquiries or technical questions regarding planning

1. Additional Responsibilities

• Support the controller with planning-related activities, including post-executive reclassifications and capital planning
• Utilize Power BI to develop and enhance current dashboard solutions
• Generate the pricing dashboard monthly and manage pricing requests from various affiliates
• Handle ad-hoc requests, such as updating financial presentations for internal meetings

Brand finance managers, Area Business Unit Directors, Market Access counterparts, Area controllers, and Global Marketing Finance teams.

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; a Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.

Applicants should have 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is essential, with experience in Power BI and SAP BPC considered a plus.
