Role Summary:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and sustaining our data systems. Your expertise will ensure that our data infrastructure is scalable, dependable, and efficient, enabling teams to harness data for strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to meet diverse organizational data needs.
- Optimize data architectures for effective storage, processing, and retrieval.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ascertain data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Work alongside revenue and marketing teams to derive customer insights that drive product-led growth.
- Manage data warehousing solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Monitor and resolve issues within data systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our data infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to data governance and security protocols.
- Mentor junior data engineers and advocate for best practices in data engineering.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar capacity, with a solid foundation in data architecture and pipeline development.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with various database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL).
- Strong programming capabilities in Python or other relevant languages (Scala is a plus).
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.
- Understanding of data governance, quality, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
