Job Description

Serco is a leading Space Services Provider with a strong presence in the French market, offering a range of engineering, technical, and management services across multiple industries. We are seeking a skilled Launch System Electrical Avionics Engineer to join our team at the esteemed ESA-HQ site in Paris, France.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Ariane 6 project by carrying out a diverse range of tasks, encompassing hardware, software, and system aspects.
  • Define technical specifications for HW/SW items and procure them accordingly.
  • Evaluate verification analyses and reports, and participate in reviews and meetings.
  • Oversee the Launch System Combined Tests and Launch Campaign qualification tasks.
  • Evaluate change proposals and waivers for electrical ground/board interfaces.
  • Validate and write Electrical Operational Requirements and Specific Test Requests.
  • Write Launch System Electrical definition and justification files.
Requirements
  • A Master or PhD degree or equivalent with a strong knowledge and experience in the domain.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems architectures of a launch system.
  • Knowledge of TTE protocol and its implementation.
  • Knowledge of main serial data exchange protocols and end-to-end wired measurement chains.
  • Understanding of main Launch System RF communications.
  • Experience in equipment procurement, sub-systems integration, and testing.
  • Experience in spacecraft project support, particularly related to spacecraft data handling.
  • Knowledge of the space environment, related standards, and space quality requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high degree of organizational and communication abilities, and comfortable working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
