Job Title: DevOps Engineer Linux

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team at Inria, a leading research institute in digital science and technology. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving our infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our software ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve our infrastructure, including Linux systems, containerization, and automation tools.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions for our software ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with our development team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
  • Participate in the migration of our database storage from PostgreSQL to Cassandra and the migration of our internal object storage to a distributed storage solution.
  • Supervise and maintain the Software Heritage infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in Linux in an enterprise production environment, preferably at scale.
  • Knowledge of development of systems management and administration automation.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration environments.
  • Experience in configuration management technologies such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with one or more cloud providers.
  • Experience coding in Python or similar languages.
