Job Title: Chemical Technician
Job Summary:
The Chemical Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks related to chemical preparation, water sampling, and material transfer in a sewage treatment plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and experience in water treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical preparations and loading/unloading of chemicals in accordance with established procedures.
- Collect and transfer water and chemical samples to the laboratory for analysis.
- Assist the maintenance team during plant shutdowns and other major activities.
- Ensure safe disposal of unused chemicals and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Understand and follow safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Assist with laboratory analysis and maintenance of chemical storage facilities.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Middle school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 10-12 years of experience in chemical preparation, preferably in sewage treatment.
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment plant activities.
- Working experience in GCC countries.
