Position Overview
Ametra is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be part of our innovative team, focusing on the creation of two new countermeasure modules. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Comprehensive mechanical design and subassembly development to enhance the existing preliminary designs.
- Modifying current 3D and 2D schematics in accordance with industry regulations.
- Updating and developing PLM tree structures for better organization.
- Compiling the justification documentation, which includes calculations (FEM, load deformation analysis), fit analysis, tolerance justification through dimensioning chains, and producing mechanical interface schematics.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and may be a recent graduate or a junior engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience. We are looking for individuals who have:
- Proficient skills and experience in mechanical design and architecture.
- Strong capabilities in functional analysis and ISO dimensioning.
- A solid understanding of mechanical principles and a keen sense of physics.
- Basic knowledge of engineering calculations is preferred.
- An interest in sectors such as nuclear, defense, or aerospace is advantageous.
- Proficiency in tools such as CATIA and/or Solidworks along with PLM systems.
