We are seeking a highly motivated experimental researcher to join our team at CEA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in physics or mechanical engineering and experience in experimental research.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting innovative experiments, interpreting results, and collaborating with the team to develop new research projects. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources, including various platforms for mechanical characterization, nanofabrication, and additive manufacturing.
Responsibilities:- Design and conduct experiments to investigate the properties of mechanical metamaterials
- Interpret results and develop new research projects in collaboration with the team
- Collaborate with students, researchers, and technicians to achieve research goals
- Contribute to the supervision of student interns, apprentices, PhD students, and post-docs
- Participate in projects and fund-raising activities
- PhD in physics or mechanical engineering
- Experience in experimental research and numerical methods
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with others
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
