The Contracts Manager is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction on a daily basis. This role encompasses a comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (QHSES), and Operational Safety Management (OSM).
Key Responsibilities- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal stakeholders regarding contract management.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and clear reporting on all facets of the main contract, including the drafting and updating of the Client Action Plan report.
- Invoicing: Manage the transmission of invoices related to the contract to the invoicing department and monitor the status of outstanding invoices.
- Data Management: Regularly update OSCAR with all pertinent information related to vessel contracts.
- Maintenance Planning: Track maintenance days due during the contract period and collaborate with Operations & Technical Manager to optimize the utilization of these days.
- Geographical Focus: The role is primarily focused on West Africa.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Contract Management, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- Mariner with at least a Mate/2nd Engineer certificate or a Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience in contract management is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years working on vessels and 2 to 3 years in an operational or technical role ashore.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience in developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms, and drafting contracts while adhering to organizational standards.
- Fluency in English and French is essential.
- Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
This position is based in Africa.
Education and Experience RequirementsA Bachelor's degree is required, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
