About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Data Center Colocation Regional Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Field Engineering Team, you will be responsible for driving Mechanical/Electrical Engineering services, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers that meet quality and performance levels across the globe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with colo vendors to review the design for new Data Centers in your region, including design input, submittal review, and incorporating AWS products to ensure the design meets AWS expectations.
  • Act as resident engineer during new colo construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
  • Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including essential equipment, and event support.
  • Provide technical support to the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
  • Support operating partners to lead, review, and approve designs for existing co-location (colo) data center upgrades that improve availability/efficiency.
  • Interface with operating partners, data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered by operating partners.
  • Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
  • Initiate and lead engineering site audits within leased or colo data centers, producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations.
  • Lead complex root cause analysis for equipment failures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or 5+ years of relevant mechanical/electrical engineering experience.
  • Cumulative 7+ years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering.
