Job Title: Senior Global Performance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Global Performance Engineer to join our Engineering team at Principle Power. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the engineering and design of our next-generation WindFloat platforms.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, and structural dynamics, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering work products. You will work closely with our Global Performance Group to develop and implement design methodologies, numerical models, and design procedures that meet the needs of our commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and develop design basis and design methodology reports
  • Support and/or manage group work product delivery
  • Develop and implement design methodologies, numerical models, and design procedures
  • Perform global performance design and analysis
  • Review and approve technical work products generated by others
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers
Requirements
  • Master of science or above in a relevant field of engineering (ocean engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, civil/structural engineering, material science, etc.)
  • Proven technical expertise and leadership skills in the field of hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, and structural dynamics
  • Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in the design of floating offshore structures for pre-FEED/FEED/Detailed design
  • Proficiency in two or more programming languages (Python or Matlab)
  • Strong technical skills (numerical modeling and data analysis)
  • Strong communicator (written and oral), especially for technical topics
