About the Role
Eiffage, a leading infrastructure development company, is seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to manage our construction sites and ensure the successful completion of projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, coordinating with various trades, and ensuring that construction works meet schedules and commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the work of teams, including onboarding employees, temporary staff, and sub-contractors, and verifying authorizations.
- Organize and plan missions and work based on site requirements and progress.
- Support teams' professionalization and upskilling, and manage HR processes within the scope of responsibility.
- Encourage professional best practices and govern improper conduct.
- Ensure the availability and consistency of all site administrative documentation.
- Define and review site construction works, acknowledging construction plans and documentation.
- Establish the construction works schedule and operating procedure.
- Communicate necessary procedures and documentation to teams and ensure their understanding.
- Ensure the implementation of signage and security devices, prepare access roads, storage areas, and set up site living quarters, if necessary.
- Supervise the acceptance, storage, and boarding of supplies needed for site completion.
- Monitor site construction progress, perform technical checks, and decide on corrections with the Works Supervisor.
- Draft and communicate site reports.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are kept in good condition.
- Ensure the successful completion of each part of the works, including acceptance, stop points, and feedback.
- Ensure the full completion of construction works and organize site withdrawal.
- Participate in construction handover.
- Collect and communicate elements needed for as-built drawings.
Specific Activities
- Pipe Works Site Supervisor/Feeder: Open, repair, and close trenches, guarantee network registration, ensure shallow trenches or deeper trenches are excavated, and ensure safe handling of existing pipelines.
- Demolition/Decontamination Site Supervisor: Check diagnostics, guarantee network registration, respect withdrawal plans, and ensure waste tracking.
- Rail Works Site Supervisor: Ensure compliance with specific safety standards, check site cleanliness, and avoid rail accidents.
- Earthworks Site Supervisor: Manage track and platform maintenance, implement and enforce traffic zones, and ensure compliance with production rates.
- Roads Supervisor: Excavate trenches, use lasers to make trapezoidal ditches, and lay service pipes.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Team Leader.
- Authorizations may be required based on the position.
- Minimum Safety Training Standards (SMS) and Authorization to Intervene Near Networks (AIPR) are compulsory.
Job Environment
Reporting line: Works Supervisor. Internal relations: Engineering Consultants, Support Department, Journeymen, etc. External relations: sub-contractors, clients, suppliers, local residents, service providers, etc.
