Network Security Specialist

SiPearl is a leading European company that specializes in the development of high-performance, low-power microprocessors for supercomputing and AI inference. We collaborate closely with our 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium, which includes leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centers, and industry. Our team of over 190 experts is based in France, Germany, and Spain.
About the RoleIn this position, you will work closely with our CIO, Dominique Bordereaux, to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing our company's networks, including data centers in France and offices in France, Germany, Spain, and remote locations
- Ensuring site and WAN interconnections and relationships with telecommunications providers
- Maintaining our network at the forefront of security and reliability
- Participating in the deployment of network security policies to protect all data
- Monitoring network activities to detect and prevent security incidents
- Implementing intrusion prevention mechanisms (IDS/IPS) and firewalls in collaboration with our security team
- Managing SSL/TLS certificates and implementing VPNs to secure all communications
- Providing level 2/3 support to resolve network and security-related incidents
- Working closely with IT teams and other departments to meet network needs
- Analyzing and identifying the root cause of incidents
- Proposing an action plan/corrective action to resolve the incident
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Fluent English in an international environment
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Mastery of switching and routing technologies
- Experience in configuring and managing firewalls and security devices
- Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.)
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with network monitoring and management tools
- Programming/scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell)
- Engineering degree or equivalent level of expertise
- At least 5 years of prior experience in the field
