About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Saint-Gobain Isover. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and support to our industrial investment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of new Project Management/Engineering processes and tools
  • Ensure scope understanding and alignment with business needs and stakeholders
  • Participate/Manage the front-end engineering for selected Capex projects from concept to detailed design
  • Foster Design, Safety, and Capex optimization during project reviews
  • Generate insights and recommendations to optimize reliability, quality, and costs of the project
  • Produce and/or validate documents required for the cost estimate
  • Evaluate required staffing and project risks during different project phases
  • Evaluate site conditions through site visits and other items that could impact the project design and constructability
  • Participate in the development of in-house concepts for specific workshops and the design of in-house equipment
Requirements
  • Quick learner with a high level of curiosity and open-mindedness
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a global mindset and willingness to travel
  • Able to identify main levers to optimize the project TCO
  • Understand business processes and interdependencies between Capex projects and business
  • Solid technical academic background with a degree in Engineering (or comparable by experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar medium to large size businesses with an emphasis on a multi-site and international environment
  • Experience in industries in the field of glass, mining, cement, ceramic, or steel
