Imerys is seeking a skilled Category Manager to lead the procurement of industrial equipment and services for their regional operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that meet the company's needs and goals.
The Category Manager will work closely with project managers to define procurement requirements, develop purchasing plans, and negotiate contracts with suppliers. They will also be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business with a purchasing specialization and a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience. They will be fluent in English and another language, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to manage several projects in parallel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for industrial equipment and services
- Work with project managers to define procurement requirements and develop purchasing plans
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for cost savings
Requirements:
