Project Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Rail Systems Engineer to support our team in delivering high-quality projects. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our C&A Manager to ensure that all projects are processed correctly and in scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform dedicated activities within the C&A processes according to the C&A management plan in all project phases.
  • Assist the C&A Manager in identifying and creating requirements for certification and/or authorization.
  • Collect and prepare C&A evidence (e.g. for pre-certification, vehicle type approval, vehicle registration) to be submitted to conformity assessment bodies and/or registration bodies.
  • Maintain certification-relevant data in requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS/Excel).
  • Create and track C&A relevant reporting (e.g. KPI, cost overview).
  • Collaborate with the project team: Engineering, RAMS, Quality, Planning, Validation, Maintenance, Procurement.
  • Collaborate with independent reviewers (e.g. NoBo, DeBo, AsBo) and authorize bodies (e.g. ERA or NSA).
  • Participate in the follow-up of the certified/approved vehicle configuration(s).

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical projects.
  • High level of accuracy, clear communication style.
  • Good experience with MS Office, analysis/KPI preparation.
  • Experience in certification processes (railroad, automotive, aerospace).
  • Project or quality management.
  • General knowledge of rail vehicles.
  • General knowledge of EU approval process (e.g. ERA).
  • General knowledge of functional safety and validation.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations in Rail.
  • Willingness to travel for project requirements.
  • English level - at least B2.
