Job Summary
The Second Mate DPO FSIV Water Jet Officer is a critical member of the vessel's bridge team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient navigation of the vessel. This role requires a high level of expertise in vessel maneuvering, bridge equipment, and dynamic positioning systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and provide written instructions to and from other deck officers
- Be conversant with vessel maneuvering and bridge equipment, including the dynamic positioning system and its functions, manuals, and procedures
- Aware of DP plan maintenance and communicate any deficiencies or incidents to the Master
- Participate in emergency and DP emergency response trainings
- Commit to safety and company procedures in all tasks
Areas of Operations
- Qatar and surrounding regions
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum certificate requirements:
- OOW license unlimited (STCW A-II/1)
- DPO unlimited certificate
- Minimum experience requirements:
- 1 year sea service as Second Mate DPO on FSIV DP waterjet
- Water jet experience
