Job Title: Senior GNC Engineer

Artemis Chase, a leading space recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Senior GNC Engineer to join our Rendezvous team in Toulouse, France.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced GNC Engineer to develop state-of-the-art Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) algorithms and integrate them into our spacecraft's architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop GNC algorithms to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our spacecraft systems
  • Integrate GNC algorithms into the overall system architecture, aligning with system parameters, including sensors, actuators, and computers
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to define and assess the performance and robustness of the GNC algorithms under various conditions
  • Participate in defining the Rendezvous Concept of Operations (ConOps) and Safety Concepts, including Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategies
  • Support the development and execution of GNC Validation & Verification processes to ensure the reliability and efficacy of the Rendezvous solution
  • Aid in Rendezvous and Docking Operations throughout the lifecycle of the mission, ensuring mission objectives are achieved safely and efficiently
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in GNC/AOCS systems for satellites
  • Proven track record as part of a GNC, AOCS, or Flight Dynamics team on at least one successful satellite mission
  • Excellent programming skills, with extensive experience in MATLAB/Simulink and autocoding practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external partners
  • Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills are a plus
