Job Description

Michelin is seeking a highly experienced and skilled CEO to lead its Biotech Open Platform, a joint venture with Danone, DMC Biotechnologies, and Crédit Agricole Centre France. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) across key steps in the conversion process, including fermentation assets and downstream processing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to drive commercial and financial growth.
  • Secure funding from investors, loans, or subsidies to support the facility's operations and expansion.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top talent across all functions, fostering a collaborative company culture.
  • Engage with the biotech ecosystem, establishing key partnerships and building strong relationships with shareholders, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper management of all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations.
  • Contribute to strategy shaping and ensure open and constructive relationships across shareholders.
Key Requirements
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Microbiology/Biology or Engineering/Technology.
  • Previous experience with accountability across commercial and operations.
  • Industry expertise gained working within fermentation/biotech.
  • Validated capability of working within/leading a CDMO.
  • International experience and global mindset.
Desired Skills
  • Reference expertise in propagation/fermentation or microbiology.
  • Reference expertise in biological engineering.
  • Mastery in downstream processes such as separation/concentration/drying.
  • Mastery of working within Quality & Food Safety systems.
