Position Overview

The role involves the operation and upkeep of analytical instruments, assessing analytical outcomes in relation to electric vehicle cells, from the stack level to the chemical composition, aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

- Utilize expertise in advanced analytical methodologies, including imaging techniques (such as SEM and optical microscopy) and automation for image generation and processing.

- Conduct a variety of analytical assessments on battery materials.

- Formulate and validate quality control testing protocols for battery materials, encompassing imaging, thermal analysis, and spectroscopic methods.

- Innovate and enhance 2D imaging equipment in accordance with research and development initiatives.

- Ensure the operation and maintenance of analytical instruments.

- Manage sensitive battery raw materials and samples sourced from production lines.

- Prepare samples for analytical testing.

Adhere to established analytical protocols.

- Interpret and evaluate analytical data.

- Analyze, report, and draw conclusions from analytical findings independently.

- Mentor interns and technicians in analytical methodologies, including imaging techniques, thermal analysis, and spectroscopic methods.

- Provide essential support for laboratory operations and equipment functionality.

- Conduct 5S audits within the laboratory setting.

- Contribute to the strategic objectives of the organization.

- Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field of expertise.

Work within a rigorous and international laboratory environment, demonstrating agility in a dynamic setting.

Required Knowledge and Skills

- Proficient analytical skills.

- Familiarity with battery materials testing methodologies (e.g., imaging, thermal analysis, spectroscopic methods).

- Understanding of operational and maintenance procedures for analytical instruments.

- Strong grasp of materials analysis and imaging techniques.

- Competence in sensitive sample preparation.

- Knowledge of analytical testing protocols.

- Insight into common lithium-ion battery materials and components.

Experience

A minimum of five years of experience in a similar analytical laboratory role.

Educational Qualifications

A Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, or Material Science.
