Presales Engineer

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a highly skilled Presales Engineer to join our team in France.

We are looking for a technical expert who can work closely with our customers to understand their needs, provide guidance on solution options, and lead a technical team through the bid process.

The successful candidate will work closely with the France Business Growth team to produce a technical strategy and solution that can be clearly articulated to our customers. They will be responsible for presenting and discussing solutions to customers.

As part of the bid team, you will be required to orchestrate technical reviews, ensure specialist engineers are involved, and deliver a coherent technical proposal on time and on budget.

As a Presales Engineer, you will work closely with all functions and should have the following skills:

Skills:
• Basic knowledge of satellite communications (Geo and Leo)
• Understanding of satellite modems, both military and commercial
• Understanding of logistic support (ILS, spares, support contracts)
• Understanding of project schedules

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical bid team and actively contribute to supplier/partner negotiations.
• Follow engineering bidding process and ensure program deliverables.
• This role requires a person who can work closely with many stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts in a simple way.

Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Eligibility for France security clearance is highly desirable

This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
