About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team at PROWEBCE. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and driving the development of our digital products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team, ensuring best practices in software development and system design.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and Operations, to define and deliver high-quality products.
  • Manage teams effectively, balancing workloads and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide continuous feedback to team members.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the development process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in the hiring process to attract and retain top engineering talent.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and drive initiatives to incorporate new technologies and methodologies.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in cross-functional development and technical leadership in large-scale products.
  • Over 5 years of development experience, with a strong background in software engineering.
  • Experience in growing a development team from early stages.
  • Experience working within a product-led company that places value on coaching and servant leadership.
  • A goal-oriented person, preferably with experience in working with, and driving OKRs (or other management frameworks).
  • A critical thinker who can break complex problems into their simplest components.
  • An excellent communicator with infectious energy, and a flare for motivating others.
  • Previous experience working in cross-functional teams that balance product and engineering needs.
