The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure accountability for cargo readiness and delivery timelines
- Monitor and track all inbound shipments to our global warehouses, coordinating appointments and relaying information to internal stakeholders
- Ensure the accuracy of shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and proof of delivery (POD)
- Conduct audits of shipped versus received cargo to verify complete delivery against purchase orders
- Assess liability for cargo damage or loss based on shipping proofs, packing lists, and PODs
- Support the three-way matching process for all orders to maintain compliance and accurate documentation within our ERP system
- Compile production status updates and report weekly to the internal team
- Adhere to quality control policies, coordinate onsite inspections, and manage pre-production and studio samples
- Oversee the delivery of samples and parts from suppliers and generate monthly inventory reports for components at the source
The Candidate
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in an inbound logistics position, particularly managing shipments from Asia to the United States; familiarity with Section 321 in-bond shipments is advantageous
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics management systems (WMS, TMS)
- Demonstrated success in enhancing supply chain efficiency and minimizing costs
- Strong grasp of inventory management principles and practices
- Ability to work across various US time zones (CST, EST, PST)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient English communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
