Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Innovation Manager to join our team at the Coty Luxury Division in Paris. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative packaging solutions that meet our business needs and exceed customer expectations.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical packaging and experience working in the beauty industry. You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with Marketing and R&D teams to develop new packaging concepts that meet consumer needs and business objectives;
- Working closely with Procurement to develop cost-effective packaging solutions;
- Conducting risk assessments and developing homologation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement packaging innovations;
- Tracking development milestones and communicating progress to stakeholders;
- Validating new component tooling and conducting aesthetic development;
- Reviewing and approving artwork files for packaging-specific criteria;
- Attending first productions to ensure quality expectations are met;
- Approving quality standards and range boards for componentry and finished goods.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience working in technical packaging roles, ideally in the beauty industry or related field;
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as packaging, chemistry, or mechanical engineering;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify smart solutions with the right level of pragmatism;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for verbal and written communication of ideas, technical rationales, risks, issues, and recommendations;
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization and travel when required;
- Professional fluency in English;
- CAD skills are a plus.
