We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Manager to join our Procurement department at Alcatel Submarine Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers and driving procurement strategies to optimize costs, secure supply, and reduce delivery times.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives, including negotiating prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Supplier Management: Manage a portfolio of suppliers, including qualifying and introducing new suppliers, creating and maintaining supplier data in SAP, and conducting regular supplier business reviews.
- Contract Management: Establish and manage contracts with suppliers to optimize procurement costs and secure supply.
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through diversification or rationalization of suppliers.
- Invoice Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve invoice disputes with suppliers.
- Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a buyer/negotiator in an industrial environment, such as aerospace, space, or military.
- Skills: Fluent English, proficiency in SAP module MM, and proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office suite) and particularly Excel.
- Qualities: Rigor, excellent organizational skills, initiative, and strong communication skills.
