We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Manager and Data Protection Officer to join our Legal and Compliance Team at Deezer SA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities- Data Protection Compliance: Serve as the main point of contact for staff members, regulators, and public authorities on data protection matters. Ensure that Deezer's policies and procedures are in compliance with data protection regulations, including the GDPR.
- Policy Development: Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non-compliance. Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver training programs to educate staff members on data protection best practices and ensure a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to the data controller and data processor on data protection matters.
- Culture of Compliance: Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization.
- Contract Negotiation: Draft and negotiate various contracts related to Deezer's commercial activities worldwide.
- Data and Tech Matters: Secure data and tech-related matters, including litigations management.
- Legal Advice: Provide legal advice and risk assessment to other teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's Degree in IP/IT/Data.
- At least 5 years of experience in data protection compliance, either in a law firm or in-house.
- A strong understanding of tech, web, and mobile environments.
- High skills in negotiation and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
