We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Intel GmbH. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic boards for our automotive products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop PCB layouts for various types of electrical boards, including flexible circuit boards and rigid boards.
- Prepare layout, detailed drawings, and schematics using computer-assisted engineering design software and ECAD tools.
- Define efficient design guidelines, specifications, and best-known design methods, and propose and ideate design asks and solve design complexities.
- Apply knowledge of high density-high speed, mixed, analog, digital, RF designs, rigid, and flex designs to deliver end-to-end PCB design flow, final design packages for PCB fabrication, including fabrication assembly drawings, and manage PCB documentation.
- Define component placement and trace routing rules for components and circuits on a board.
- Conduct the board layout from feasibility studies to board tape-out, meeting multi-disciplinary platform-level requirements.
- Collaborate with electrical design, packaging, manufacturing, thermal, and mechanical teams for continuous improvements in PCB design process.
- Carry out signal and power integrity simulations for design verification to achieve high-quality PCBs.
- Perform electrical, interface, and functional tests.
- Debug boards and implement fixes.
- Support internal Product and FAE teams in adapting our reference boards to customer HW.
- Provide guidance on vendors' fabrication capabilities and fine-tune design for low cost and high reliability.
- University degree in electronics engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electronic board development.
- Experienced in CAO tools for PCB design.
- Experienced in PCA testing.
- Experienced in simulation tools.
- Good technical expertise in electronic products (FPGAs, microcontrollers, boards).
- Knowledge of low-level software for microcontroller programming and testing software.
- Good knowledge of debugging tools (JTAG box, Lauterbach debugger, etc.).
- Analytical skills for debugging boards.
- Good knowledge of laboratory tools (oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, soldering, etc.).
- Experience in the automotive environment and constraints is a plus.
- Quality management (ISO 9001,...).
- Fluent in English.
- French speaking is a plus.
This role will require an on-site presence.
