Job Title: Tech Lead Frontend

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead Frontend to join our dynamic and passionate international team at Lyreco Group (Italy).

About the Role:

The Tech Lead Frontend will be responsible for assisting the team in development, handling the technical vision on the product, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication and influencing skills, and the ability to build and develop networks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Bring Frontend expertise to the Product/Scrum Team/Squad to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support software design and implementation according to enterprise architecture guidelines.
  • Be the first technical interlocutor for solutions owned by the team, communicating and dissipating potential day-to-day pressure.
  • Manage the technical stack.
  • Ensure proper code quality, coverage, and documentation.
  • Promote, align, and support best-in-class development principles (e.g., Clean Code, Clean Architecture, DDD/BDD/TDD).
  • Promote best-in-class development methodologies (e.g., Pair programming, Peer testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery).
  • Promote and support knowledge sharing for Frontend tools and technologies.
  • Be an active member and contributor of the Community of Practice.
  • Identify market trends that may benefit the team/product and present, adopt, and implement these trends.
  • Support Team Manager in recruiting new talents for the Squad/Team.
  • Support Team Manager in the continuous development of team members, both personally and within their area of expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 2+ years proven track record in the role of Frontend Tech Lead (with mentoring of developers), preferably in an international, multicultural environment as part of a virtual team.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) for software development including DevOps.
Professional Skills & Abilities:
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Build relationships: a team player able to build and develop networks.
  • Change management: ability to support team members in a changing environment.
  • Ability to recognize talent among the team.
  • Results oriented: proven track record of delivering on targets.
  • Project/Product management: helping the team with organization, prioritization, and translation of business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Analytical and creative, proactive in solving issues.
  • Able to support with recruiting and talent retention.
  • Capable of analyzing existing solutions and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements, as well as assisting in training new employees.
Technical Skills:
  • Proven track record as Tech Lead or Lead developer.
  • Strong fundamentals in software design and development.
  • Knowledge of solutions architecture design patterns (Hexagonal architecture would be appreciated).
  • Knowledge of global architecture design patterns.
  • Knowledge of software craftsmanship principles (Clean Code, Clean Coder).
  • 5+ years of Javascript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
  • 5+ years of frontend frameworks and libraries experience including NextJs/React/Angular, etc.
  • 5+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of several items from the following list:
    • REST API design and implementation.
    • Microservices design and implementation.
    • Continuous integration/continuous delivery using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
    • Docker containerization (using Rancher would be appreciated).
    • Public cloud solutions (Azure, Google Cloud Platform would be appreciated).
  • Fluency in English—verbal and written.
