We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commodity Buyer to join our global team in Engineering Services Purchasing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing consultants based onsite in one of our locations for a shorter or longer period, planning, sourcing, and follow-up on work packages supporting a wide range of R&D projects, and optimizing the supplier base by focusing on sustainability, quality, and other strategic parameters.
Your Key Responsibilities- Purchase of consultants based onsite in one of our locations for a shorter or longer period.
- Planning, sourcing, and follow-up on work packages supporting a wide range of R&D projects.
- Supplier host responsibility for several suppliers – ensuring relationships on a healthy level and being the single point of contact for these suppliers towards the Volvo Group.
- Optimizing the supplier base by focusing on sustainability, quality, and other strategic parameters.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the team.
- Actively contributing to the team development by bringing improvement ideas and supporting your colleagues.
