About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Alstom. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in establishing and implementing the company's AI Data Models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data science pipelines from data ingestion, processing, and visualization to model building, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Utilize popular data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn, pytorch, tensorflow, openCV, etc.
  • Implement data indexation and vector database solutions using libraries such as langchain or azure search to enable efficient querying and retrieval of large datasets.
  • Develop and deploy chatbots and conversational AI systems using natural language processing (NLP) libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, langchain, huggingface(transformers), AzureOpenAI APIs, LLM evaluation libraries (ragas, etc.), etc.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems.
  • Design and implement data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards using libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or using tools like PowerBI, etc. to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, software engineering, and product management, to drive business outcomes and deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, or software engineering, with a focus on data science.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of LLM (Large Language Model) and NLP concepts, and experience with developing NLP-based applications: RAG pipeline architecture and data indexation/vector database solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data science platforms such as Azure Machine Learning, Dataiku, etc.
  • Understanding of data quality and governance principles, and experience with implementing data quality frameworks.
