We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to lead our research efforts in sustainable finance. As the Head of Research, you will be responsible for developing our research strategy, managing research projects, and contributing to the overall strategy of the association.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop Research Strategy: Develop a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the association's overall goals and objectives.
  • Manage Research Projects: Manage small to medium-sized research projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Contribute to Association Strategy: Contribute to the overall strategy of the association, providing research-based recommendations and insights.
  • Monitor External Developments: Monitor external developments, including technological advancements, that may impact the association's activities and adjust the research strategy accordingly.
  • Ensure Research Quality: Ensure the relevance, rigor, and quality of research, defining how it is shared to support the association's objectives.
  • Lead Research Team: Lead a team of researchers, analysts, and sustainable finance specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's understanding of the strategy and adherence to the association's political positions.
  • Network and Collaboration: Establish and maintain relationships with European and international partners in the sustainable finance world, promoting the association's work and gaining recognition for its research.
  • Communication and Awareness: Contribute to the association's awareness and communication activities, including webinars, conferences, and other events.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in policies and markets in the green finance sector.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree minimum, ideally a PhD in finance or economics.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with a solid background in finance, ideally with good knowledge of the financial sector in France and internationally.
  • Research Experience: At least 10 years of total experience in finance/sustainable finance research.
  • Network: A large partners network.
  • Publications: Relevant publications of research papers in the field of sustainable finance.
  • International Experience: Experience participating in working groups within international bodies on sustainable finance-related topics.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English and French (written and spoken).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Sustainable Finance Knowledge: Knowledge of key concepts in sustainable finance and/or climate economics and/or ecological transition.
  • Adaptability: A willingness and ability to work both on research and writing as well as on applied projects and tools.

  • Organizational Skills: Organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel, with a desire to develop cutting-edge research and policy recommendations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking.

  • Macroeconomic and Financial Modeling: Experience in macroeconomic and/or financial modeling.
