In this position, you will be an integral part of the C&MD team, focusing on the advancement of our Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice throughout Continental Europe. This role is proactive and hands-on, collaborating closely with the L&DR Regional Practice Area Lead, the Continental European Leadership team, and the broader network of L&DR Partners and Lawyers.

This position is vital for the success of the regional practice area, offering you the chance to make a significant impact.

You will work in tandem with the L&DR Regional Practice Area Lead and the practice's Regional Business Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Revenue Generation
    • Assist the C&MD One Europe L&DR Lead in executing strategic business development initiatives across Continental Europe.
    • Spearhead Litigation & Dispute Resolution initiatives and campaigns led by Continental Europe.
    • Identify market trends and opportunities within all Litigation & Dispute Resolution sectors in the Continental European landscape.
    • Collaborate with regional counterparts in Litigation & Dispute Resolution C&MD, particularly in London, to explore opportunities and develop initiatives for both existing and potential clients.
    • Take the lead on pitches, including panels, matter-specific proposals, or capability statements for significant Litigation & Dispute Resolution opportunities in the region.
  2. Reputation Management and Marketing Communications
    • Partner with the Global L&DR Communications & Marketing Lead to discover opportunities for enhancing our visibility in the Continental European market.
    • Lead the organization of regional client events, seminars, and conferences.
    • Manage various marketing communications projects, including the preparation of regional directory and awards submissions.
  3. Client Engagement
    • Utilize your understanding of the regional practice to support client and sector programs operating across the region.
    • Conduct thorough competitor, client, and market analysis to pinpoint current and emerging opportunities.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a problem-solving mindset to navigate daily support tasks, guide others in resolving complex challenges, and play a pivotal role in establishing best practices while leading the successful execution of long-term C&MD initiatives.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Prior experience in business development within professional services, preferably in a law firm.
  • A genuine interest in the legal field, particularly in Litigation & Dispute Resolution, with a desire to expand your knowledge.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A highly motivated and dedicated team player.
  • An international perspective and experience working across diverse countries.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
