As a key member of the Acid Gas & Hydrate Inhibition Technology team at Axens, you will be responsible for developing technical responses to calls for tenders for technologies, providing support for R&D, technical assistance, sales and marketing actions. Your mission will be to ensure the knowledge and expertise on your field, collaborating with the Sales Managers of the Commercial Division, as well as with IFP Energies Nouvelles and other Axens entities.
Key Activities- Develop technical proposals to answer requests to bids for Process Design Packages (PDP) for new or revamped units in the fields of Gas Sweetening for natural gas treatment, MEG Regeneration & Reclamation, CO2 Capture for syngas purification (including the production of blue hydrogen) and Sulfur Recovery.
- Maintain regular technical relations with customers (performance analysis, technical site visits, troubleshooting, etc.)
- Participate in the collection, synthesis and exploitation of knowledge related the processes for which you are responsible, including feedback from units in operation.
- Provide technical support to sales managers when defending technical offers and promote the technologies for which you are responsible through marketing actions: development of marketing messages, publications, presentations at conferences and seminars.
- Acquire and develop knowledge of the different markets and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of the LCSG Group offer by proposing improvements.
- Engineer in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer or General Engineer with good knowledge in process and/or gas treatment, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in basic/detailed engineering design of sulfur recovery, MEG recovery and/or gas sweetening units.
- Highly motivated to work on subjects such as Gas Treatment Technologies and CO2 Capture for syngas purification (including the production of blue hydrogen).
- Experience in R&D activities, skills in equipment sizing and simulation software (ProII, Hysis,...) are appreciated.
- Fluency in English or French is mandatory.
- Availability for short-duration overseas travels is required.
- Good team player with strong listening skills, in order to exchange with all Axens' customers and with the various Axens' entities.
- Very good public relations skills as well as strength of conviction, in particular when providing commercial support.
- Synthetic, rigorous, and concrete.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and orally.
- Self-discipline, pragmatism, and analytical mind are required for the development of technical proposals and technical assistance tasks.
- Organizational skills, adaptability, and autonomy will be required very soon due to the small size of the team.
