Job Summary
The Aga Khan Academies seeks a highly experienced and visionary Head of Academic Excellence to lead the academic vision and strategic direction of our Senior School. As a key member of the school's leadership team, you will be responsible for driving academic excellence, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive academic strategy that aligns with the school's mission and vision.
- Lead the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional programs that promote academic excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and deliver high-quality professional development programs that enhance teaching and learning.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider community to promote the school's academic excellence and reputation.
- Manage and oversee the school's budget and resources to ensure effective allocation and utilization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles in international schools, preferably with IB experience.
- Proven track record of academic excellence and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teachers and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider community.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the school's overall vision and mission.
