Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient assembly processes for lithium-ion battery cells.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to optimize assembly processes for cell design.
  • Improve assembly processes by increasing automation levels, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.
  • Test and validate cutting-edge technologies for assembly process integration.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify and resolve defects in the assembly process.


Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in manufacturing engineering, with a strong background in assembly process development.
  • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in battery manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with lithium-ion battery cell assembly, clean room, and dry room operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis, defect reduction, and failure analysis.
  • Proficiency in custom automation equipment development, including critical process requirements, testing plans, layouts, and utilities.
  • Excellent statistical and data analysis skills, with experience in tools like Python, Matlab, and Minitab.
  • Basic: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Materials or a related field.
