IFTH serves as the Industrial Technical Center (CTI) dedicated to the textile and clothing sector in France. Its mission is rooted in public interest, focusing on the scientific and technical advancement of the fashion and textile industries, including technical textiles.
This unique technological center operates with a dual purpose: to deliver tailored technical and technological solutions to address company challenges, while also fostering the textile and clothing ecosystem to stimulate growth, sustainable development, and the relocation of activities within the region.
With a workforce of 145 employees, comprising 110 engineers and technicians across ten research laboratories and exclusive technical platforms in France, IFTH's mission is centered around three primary areas of expertise: Technical and Innovation Consulting, Testing and Certification, and Knowledge and Skills, all of which can be utilized throughout the textile clothing project value chain.
Position Overview:In this role, reporting directly to the Materials Laboratory Manager, the selected candidate will undertake the following responsibilities in alignment with our Quality Management System:
- Receiving and managing materials designated for testing
- Preparing textile samples for analysis
- Executing pretreatments such as washing, drying, and aging
- Conducting specific tests and documenting results, including physical and fire tests
- Overseeing equipment functionality and reporting any discrepancies
- Managing and archiving samples post-testing
- Contributing to the creation of technical documentation pertinent to the role
Educational Qualifications: Minimum of Bac to Bac+2 in a technical or scientific discipline
Experience Level: Open to all levels of experience
Required Skills: Familiarity with basic office software (Word, Excel, etc.) and a background in textiles is advantageous
