Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Regulatory Affairs team, you will play a critical role in supporting our various departments in dealing with banking supervision and related regulations.

The Regulatory Affairs team is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment with regard to regulatory topics. We are looking for a professional who can work closely with our teams across departments and countries to provide insight and strategic advice into our regulatory landscape.

As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for scanning the regulatory landscape to identify relevant publications and supervisory trends. You will analyze regulatory changes to assess their impact on our company and prioritize, perform, and coordinate impact assessments and implementation of requirements.

You will also be responsible for initiating the regulatory change process to ensure timely and proper implementation of regulatory changes. Additionally, you will provide content support and advice on regulatory implementations and participate in regulatory projects and committees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scanning the regulatory landscape to identify relevant publications and supervisory trends.
  2. Analyzing regulatory changes to assess their impact on our company.
  3. Prioritizing, performing, and coordinating impact assessments and implementation of requirements.
  4. Initiating the regulatory change process to ensure timely and proper implementation of regulatory changes.
  5. Providing content support and advice on regulatory implementations.
  6. Participating in regulatory projects and committees.

Requirements:

  • Law degree (at least Masters).
  • Approx. 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in regulatory or related topics.
  • Experience with 'translating' regulation to internal company processes and policies.
  • Project experience and working in interdisciplinary settings.
  • Solid reasoning, research, and drafting skills.
  • Expert knowledge of banking, EU and French (Dutch is an advantage) financial regulatory framework and (preferably) vehicle management market.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English is a requirement, French and Dutch are an advantage).
