Role Purpose
The Costing Manager is accountable for overseeing the cost management of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of costing data across all manufacturing locations by collaborating with the engineering team to verify BOMs and routings.
- Assist business units in validating costs for new initiatives.
- Conduct comparative analysis of cost data across different sites.
- Manage the centralized costing application in Anaplan for monthly closures, forecasts, and budgeting, including updates to FX and master data, as well as resolving costing discrepancies.
- Guarantee timely data exchange between the costing tool Anaplan and the financial reporting tool TM1, adhering to group deadlines.
- Analyze the evolution of costing variances (actual vs. budget and forecast M-1).
- Examine discrepancies between local ERP costing and Anaplan for each manufacturing site.
- Provide monthly cost analysis variations to the Business Unit.
- Act as a business partner for the management team on all costing-related matters.
- Contribute to the enhancement of local site engineering and controlling teams.
- Establish and refine common standards and rules for costing.
- Collaborate with the industrial performance team to ensure accurate categorization of transformation costs by workshop.
- Work with the quality team to ensure accurate wastage calculations and with the logistics and duties team to confirm correct acquisition costs.
