Job Description

As a key member of the Safran Seats team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality products to major airlines worldwide. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction ensures that you can take pride in doing meaningful work that supports the needs of passengers and crews alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product meets manufacturing requirements and goals.
  • Support Design for Manufacturability and participate in lean improvement activities.
  • Work closely with Industrial Engineering to design and implement process and equipment layouts and improvements.
  • Provide technical support, product design, and quality standards to Operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer).
  • Associate degree with 6 years of related experience or 12 years of job-related experience.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.
  • Catia V.5 or design modeling a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of production methods, process capabilities, tooling processes, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to prepare well-written reports and orderly reports.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and Operating Systems.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and engage in healthy debate.

Work Environment:

  • This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment.
  • Finger dexterity needed in using miscellaneous office equipment.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.

International and/or Domestic Travel: Required; No more than 1 week per year.
