Job Description

Job Summary:

The Stock Controller/Inventory Management Specialist plays a crucial role in driving sales growth by implementing transparent stock control processes in compliance with legislation, security, and internal requirements.

Under the supervision of the Store Director, Operations Manager, or Stock Manager, the Stock Controller/Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for the performance of the back office operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Support administrative and operational procedures related to merchandise flow (preparation, shipping, and receiving of orders; processing, deadlines, and invoicing).
  • Prepare, package, and ship merchandise to retail stores and warehouses.
  • Process various types of transfers and DTOs.
  • Ensure smooth price changes.
  • Provide excellent customer experience throughout the process.
Inventory Control:
  • Monitor and control monthly inventory and implement specific action plans based on identified issues.
  • Prepare and execute annual inventory.
  • Implement specific action plans to prevent discrepancies.
  • Manage negatives (analysis, research, and adjustments).
Stock Management:
  • Identify a consistent stock level to achieve sales objectives and alert in case of shortages or overstocking.
  • Manage emergency situations: late deliveries, supply chain disruptions, and order errors.
  • Ensure a well-organized back office in accordance with guidelines.
  • Manage shipments (opening, tracking, closing, and invoicing) and damaged products.
Omnichannel:
  • Manage shipments specifically related to remote sales.
Divers:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for defective products (opening and tracking tickets).
  • Apply company operational policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to maintaining a constructive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of the retail environment and fundamental experience in stock management (3-5 years).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Team spirit and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in changing circumstances.
  • Ability to prioritize task execution based on business needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a constantly evolving environment.
