Job Title: Communication Internship Opportunity at UNESCO

UNESCO is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Communication and Information Sector as an intern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of communication and information projects.

Job Summary:

The Communication and Information Sector is responsible for promoting freedom of expression, media development, and media literate societies, as well as building knowledge societies through fostering universal access to information, innovation for sustainable development, and the preservation of documentary heritage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project documents, including notes and technical annexes.
  • Contribute to the production of documents, working papers, and conceptual framework/concept notes on areas of work or development challenges.
  • Support the development of technical support in the development of new interventions or projects.
  • Participate in meetings and seminars, and contribute to the preparation of knowledge and communication products, materials for advocacy and outreach, related to areas of work.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent, second university degree or higher).
  • Excellent command, both written and spoken, of English or French.
  • Working knowledge of the other language (English or French) is an asset.
  • Computer skills: excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.
Benefits and Entitlements:
  • UNESCO does not remunerate interns.
  • Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship.
