We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Embedded System Engineer to join our AIO team at INRIA-Paris.

About the Role

As a Wireless Embedded System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing wireless embedded systems for various applications.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to experiment with large numbers of networking devices, implement new wireless networking protocols, and perform FPGA development to augment existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming off-the-shelf and custom wireless embedded systems
  • Collaborating with researchers and engineers to experiment with large numbers of networking devices
  • Implementing and assisting with the design of new wireless networking protocols
  • Performing FPGA development to augment existing wireless systems
  • Using software-defined radios for prototyping and experimentation
Additional Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining a repository of software
  • Potentially developing new hardware platforms (PCB design)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree with a focus on embedded C or 2+ years of experience in industry/academia
  • 2+ years of programming embedded systems hardware
  • Some experience with FPGA development and programming is ideal
  • Some experience with Python for data analysis is ideal
  • Some experience with Verilog/VHDL is ideal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Language and Communication Skills

You will need:

  • Excellent English proficiency
  • Familiarity with French is helpful but not strictly necessary
